well, its a bumper crop of tomatoes at my moms in TN.
more than she can eat and give away to family and neighbors.
3or4 varietys of regular and more grape tommies than can be counted.

hard to tell here, but this is a cluster of approx 2 dozen big guys.

You better be careful "Fried Green Tomatoes" is a major feminist power novel. She may be sending you a message.

I wish I had a digital camera, the next investment. I built a 17' x 17' raised bed garden this year and had great results. Zuchini, cucumbers, sugar peas, and Kentucky pole beans in the big garden plus multi-variety peppers in pots surrounding the top. Large patio pots that contain tomatoes, peppers, and sweet corn(an experiment that worked only with lots of attention).

I eat as much as possible, supply my parents who do not garden much any more and give a lot away. I have been know to chase my neighbors down the alley with zuchini in my hands. Not a pretty sight!

My parents were of the WWII era and a garden, even a small one, was considered to be a help in the war effort. I guess the name Victory Garden came from this effort. As long as I can remember as a child my father always kept some sort of garden going. As the houses got larger so did the garden. I learned a lot from that man!
