Computer Question---dialers
When I ran Spybot this a.m., I saw some files titled " dialer" or some variation. What are they? Can I safely remove them? My computer is not configured to ever dial out in its own, nor do I want it to ever dial up on its own.

If you don't have some sort of Virus software to detect and remove these, the quickest way is identify such is to "google" the name of the file you think is suspect. Legitimate applications show up at the top with a description even before you click on the link. Spyware (or "pimpware" as GermanStar pointed out) won't appear on the results...

Not only that, if you google the filename, you'll get hits on threads where the anti-virus guys are talking about the file - a lot of times you can scarf removal instructions or dowload removal utilities from the links.
