I have two problems,
1) Affects only MS IE--the home page has been changed to " makemesearch" Its really annoying. I don't appreciate that they can control my homepage, and even if I manually change it, it goes right back to "makemesearch". How do I get rid of it?
2) Affects both Firefox and MSIE--My AVG 6.0, picks up, and dispalys a warning, "trojan horse dialer in windows\system\_T.EXE", but, when I acually run AVG 6.0, it can't find the trojan horse.

I run three programs and none have helped--AVG 6.0, Spybot, and adaware.

The best way to get rip of spyware/adware is to go into safe mode and disconnect from the internet. Run all the programs you have while in SM and disconnected from Int. Also get Spysweeper-(the best one), and spy doctor- download.com has everything you need.

Also, manually explore you drives and deleat things which are obviously unwanted.

Also- set those programs so they scan ALL files.

This site probably has all of the help that you need. They are in great demand and will probably take a while to get to you. Read the FAQs while you wait. Run some searches, you can probably fix it yourself.

Lately, when I open my browser I am directed to http://t.swapx.cc/h/php?aid=2009. Although I can get to my homepage from there, I can't clear this with 'Hijack This', or Stopzilla. Any suggestions?
