That doesn't mean I agree with the Judge's actions though. Although I would pay $20 to see a judge do that with the ACLU as the plaintiff, just for humor's sake.

Whatever his decision in a case, he cant let his beliefs sway him to one side or the other in contrast to previous cases. Its a little thing called Stare Decisis.

Are there not degrees of bias? I would not want a clan member up there. His bias is blatant. He knew it would attract attention. His decision making ability seems to be lacking. He should not be on the bench. At the very least he has poor judgment, at the worst, he will let his personal beliefs interfere with his duties and he should not be on the bench.
