Who cares what a scientist or the hooker on the corner of 5th and Main believes? It is all what YOU, the individual believe. Just because you are surrounded by a bunch of Mormons doesn't mean you must believe what they believe. If so, you are going with the flow. True faith is believing in what YOU believe, independent of what someone else thinks. A scientist that shows me proof of a item they claim isn't in the realm of faith. Faith is believing without concrete proof. If you have concrete proof, it isn't a faith based thing anymore. Therefore, the idea that a scientist believes in a higher power or not cuts NO ice with me.

Science is more about exploration than explanation, and more about empirical evidence than proof. In the face of absolute proof, there is no need for exploration.

Yeah..scientists with their definative answers like the discovery that the items the claimed were bad for you last year are suddenly actually good for you....

THey flip flop all the time with their findings and declairations of positive proof..., all the time assumptions they swore were proven beyond any doubt are always eventually found to be in error.....and so many of them deride those of us who believe in god...

Sorry Bone, but you pray to the science god each and every time you drive you bike, your car, and turn on your computer. Seems a bit hypocritical to condemn the things that you enshrine.

Tell me -- did god create computers and cars on the eighth day? C'mon Bone, be a man and turn Amish -- now that would show some conviction.

P.S. You may want to read post 18 again. I think you missed it.

since when has science proven everything beyond any doubt and never had to change or revise its stance when assumptions they made were proven wrong?

Unless these unnamed individuals you cite are scientists, I would discount their words as second hand. Science is a tool of exploration that has transformed our entire world. If you don't like it, join the Amish.

Its YOUR "Scientists" that put down Religion in lieu of their "proof" all the time.....the proof of which for the most part being disproven time and time again.
