We each choose our own pathway to hell. When you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I don't think education has anything to do with political leanings. I am currently attending college in New York, and 99% of my professors have been left wing. Region and financial status are a different story...

I agree whole-heartedly. If there's one thing worth changing one's mind about it's expressing an opinion on this topic. I'm sure Mr Soros is a fine man. As are Mssrs Kennedy and Bush.

Perhaps you misunderstood my meaning.

I agree with your initial comments on the subject. My experience gives me the same impression of the breakdown of left vs. right.

I was just making a sarcastic remark about the recent "ban" on political discussion around here. I'm pleasntly surprised that this thread has survived the "purge".

Thanks Mike. Certainly, there are many different components, that make people liberal, conservative, or some combination of the two. Other importent criteria could include, age, country, state or province, race, gender, single, married, or divoriced, upbringing (were your parents married or divoriced, college grads, highschool grads, white collar or blue collar, REP or DEM, geographic location in childhood), and definitely if you are religious, and what specifically that religion is. I based my simple survey on only two points - formal education and income. For the small sample of opinions I took in my neighborhood, which is very conservative, and considering that Arizona is a conservative state, my hypothisis was correct for my particular demographic, but certainly does not represent the entire U.S.

Is a hypothesis supported by anecdotal evidence tell you anything valuable?
