So, this online dating site matched me with an old high school friend....

So, I belong to this online matchmaker service. BTW, I have a great social life and still date "real" people too. Really!!

Anyway, this site asks you a bunch of personal and psychological questions, then matches you with women who you are compatible with. I usually receive three or so matches a day to look at. I live in the DC area and there are literally thousands of people on this site.

Today I received a match who looked strangely familiar. I finally figured it out: she and I were friends in high school. Strange enough conicidence, but get this: our high school was a very small private school. My graduating class only had 14 students in it!! She was graduated two years later.

What would you do? I'm not sure she's my type, but I'm sure she remembers me too, after all we used to be friends. (She also receives my listing.) Would you contact her regardless?

Small world, huh?

Yeah, I'd hook up. Even if it doesn't pan out, could be fun.

OK, I just "contacted" her. It's you guys' fault. You made me do it!!!

But we won't really be able to "talk" until we reach some stupid "Third Level" of communication. But we'll see.

What about looking her up in the phone book? Or how about going to your old School's website, and doing an alumni search? Call her directly, and she how life's been since you left your alma mater. If anything, you might be gaining a new friend. Who knows, maybe she is a Benz fan too!

Which brings up this thought: Why don't they have a spot for a Car Compatability match? Or maybe a spot where they can check wether they work on their own car or not? ...just pondering, that's all.

If she knows who you are, you'll be talking by tonight or tomorrow. Old times, catching up, the computer-dating thing -- it'll be a scream! It doesn't matter if she's your "type" or not. You can never have too many friends.

I keep in touch with several women I've known over the years. Never had a desire to rekindle (or enkindle) romance with any of them. Heck, I liked them back then because they were smart and fun. They haven't changed much except like me, got more lines and pounds.

Wife knows but she knows I'm seriously pussy-whupped.

Why are people so insecure and afraid of rejection?

So many fascinating relationship "if's" have foundered due to this.

Just hook up with her, leave any preconceived notions at the door and be yourself!

Just remember who YOU are and what you have to offer!

Keeping the play by play going

She looks like she drives a Chevrolet. When you reach that level, let us know.
