This question may sound foolish, but, what would you get for a mare $15K Canadian Dollars, aka $13.5 K Federal Reserve Notes (not Constitutional United States Dollars, if you are to stupid/offended to understand this statement, don't read the rest of this message)

I am considering buying a 1999-2000 c230 Kmopressor, I have seen a few, ones with good body, ones with perfect body, ones with OK interior, once with great interior, once with perfect interior and OK body.......etc.. (I guess the engine should be excluded from the conversations).... etc... I think you get the idea.

I would like to know what anyone else thinks about getting a Mercedes C230 Kompressor as opposed to getting some other Mercedes (or) as opposed to getting something else.

It just seems that I am unable to make up my mind between a C230 K or something else (US vehicles are out of the question, except maybe a Mitsubishi or a Chrysler, maybe I am wrong). I definitely don't want a brand brand new vehicles because of obvious reasons (at least to me). I guess I am looking for the "holy grail" (not meant literally) which could be anything I guess (other than what is already excluded)....

Find a nice late 124 body instead, for half the price. Use the money you saved on replacing the wiring harness, decent tires, and invest the rest. By the time your investment is a sizeable amount, Mercedes should be back on track again with their quality issues.

I'd opt for a 98 C230 (non-kompressor), not a big fan of the whiney kompressormotor.
