Got rear ended, insurance advice please
I got rear ended in the Passat Wagon last Friday by this Dodge truck. Anyway, took it to the dealer and they told me $2,600 and change. The State Farm adjuster came and told me they'd cut me a check for almost $1,700. He said the rear lid did not need to be replaced. WTF? The car is one year old.
On one hand, I see that the rear lid can be fixed. This is what's driving up insurance costs for everyone. On the other hand, this car is practically new. I want it back to new again. No bondo! I have the right to have it fixed the way I want it done correct?
