I think thats a 3 wheel electric car from the 70's with an extra side windo stuffed into it....I've see one before but don't remember the name

A British car company used to make the "Robin". It also had three wheels and looked simular to this cocophone. I think thsi car is definately homebuilt. I remember reading an article in Road & Track years ago that stated that 2 wheels in front and one in the back is the most stable design. Remember the old Citroens, and then there was the early BMW Isetta.

I don't know about that 2 in front/one in back being the most stable - my English friends all had plenty of anecdotal evidence about those things tipping, but there are also plenty who extol their virtues.

They used to say one market for the Reliant Robin was people who could not get a driver's license. I was told it was technically not a car by some definition or other, and a lesser license would do. I saw a few when I lived there - they don't inspire a lot of confidence - but they did have a reputation as being fun to drive.

I have a favorite photograph of one parked by an antique Rolls in the village I lived.

Any Brits care to chime in on this?

I know that there are different licenses for motorcycles depending on the displacement. The intent of this was so that new riders couldn't get on the fastest crotch rocket out there with little or no riding experience. I can rememeber lots in people in London with 175CC two cylinder 2 stroke Japanese motorcylces.

The front half of that thing is a pontiac, I forget the model they made them in the 80's-early 90's. The back half is anyones guess. I'll go with Maytag/Home Depot, With just a hint of Rubbermaid.
