There are definitely a lot of folks will go deeply into debt to pursue one of these 4-wheeled dreams. And others who write off the cost against business use, and others who simply have the cash on hand. Personally, I’ve lusted after a V8 wagon since my TE. But I’ve got other ways to fill the void. Perhaps in about 5 years when a ’05 pristine Starmark E55 wagon sells for about 22K it’ll be a good opportunity….. Of course, by then gas will be about $12 per gallon.

Your comment about my avatar made me laugh. Here’s why: One of the “girls” that come to visit has a bit of an aggressive tendency. She’ll move menacingly towards folks, knowing that she is much bigger, weighing in at about 1,400 lbs and that we puny humans weigh under 200, so she’ll pretend to get in your face to try to scare you off. I found out that if you just clap your hands together she’ll back off fast. Funny, 100% bluster. OTOH, the girls are legendary for chasing and stomping any dogs that wander within eyesight of the herd to death. Just yesterday I saw 3 of em tear off after one of the local labs. The lab had a good head start but they chased it for about half a mile that I could see, before and all headed into the woods. Now you should see these creatures move at speed through the woods. You’d never think something of such size could be breath takingly nimble, and in unbelievably complex terrain, and it doesn’t even matter if it is going steeply up hill or down. In fact going down hill they darned near fly! I sure wouldn’t want one pissed at me

But anyway take comfort in that my avatar is not a deer; its just an elk…..

A deer, a doe, an elk, a moose....they are all the same to me.
