Just a reminder that the new series Rome starts Sunday night (Aug 28). I get the feeling this is not to be missed, particularly by fans of Deadwood and the Sopranos...

I haven't seen Rome but I'm going to set the HD TIVO to pick it up, I heard Entourage is pretty good. I'm really waiting for CYE.

hmmm

never bothered with deadwood and I stopped watching sopranos after they killed little pussy...entourage is pretty good but I never catch it. I'm planning to attempt regular Rome viewing...we'll see though...my car repairs seem to take away from me frying my brain in front of the tele...but anything that gets you away from the mrs. can't be a bad thing...

I've never been a huge Sopranos fan either, but I think Deadwood is the best show on television. My initial intrigue with the show gave way to addiction within the first few weeks. Entourage is definitely entertaining, but it wouldn't bother me too much if I missed an episode. Come to think of it, those are pretty much the only tv shows I watch at all, but I'll definitely be catching Rome tonight.

Yeah -- the show looks promising -- not to mention some serious milf appeal.

Yeah, she's pretty sweet! I imagine the show will have a new hottie every week. I remember the guy who plays her son from the movie Master and Commander.

That's where he's from -- that was driving me nuts. Mark Antony was in A Knight's Tale, and the goiter dude was from Dune.

It was a promising start, but I'm sure the story will develop slowly.
