Server Filtering
The IT guys have blocked the IP address to Mercedesshop, MBWorld and Benzworld sites to our office computers . . . yet they haven't gotten around to Amazon, eBay or Priceline.

my school used to block mercedesshop now it doesnt.. doesnt block amazon or anything that is appropriate.. still cant get ebay or something similar

Umm, that is a toughie. Your best bet would be to get a dedicated internet line to your computer if your company allows it. Try talking with your IT guys, and explain to them why you use these websites. They may just budge, and let you back onto them. If not, I would reccommend a massive wide infestation of the computer network through a simple search.....
That will teach them that this is appropriate, and a simple google search is harmful.

That’s an easy one to solve.. set up a proxy! If you don’t want to set your home computer up in this fashion, try searching for a service named http proxy, or something of this nature. All that means is you use a remote computer to access the filtered sites - and send them to your work machine on a unfiltered port.... very effective
