Limbaugh and prison
Judge David F. Crow ruled that Florida laws do not prevent doctors from talking with prosecutors if the discussion is relevant to the prosecution of a crime.
The decision gave prosecutors permission to subpoena doctors and their staff, but it also protected confidential material in Limbaugh's medical records Fun quote from the article: "Prosecutors seized Limbaugh's records after learning that he received about 2,000 painkillers, prescribed by four doctors in six months, at a pharmacy near his Palm Beach mansion." 6 months is about 180 days.... 2000 painkillers in 180 days. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he stashed up, and it took him a few extra months to chug them all...let's say 240 days. That's over 8 per day. From the DoJ website on Oxycontin dosage: "OxyContin is an oral, controlled-release oxycodone that acts for 12 hours, making it the longest lasting oxycodone on the market. Patients taking shorter acting oxycodone products, such as Percocet, may need to take the product every 4 to 6 hours. While drug doses vary by individual, the typical OxyContin dose prescribed by physicians ranges from two to four tablets per day." -------------------- Junkie? I report, you decide. |

From what I understand you build up a pretty good tolerance to that stuff. I've heard of people doing 20-30 of those a day. 8 doesn't seem so bad.

So? Lots of druggies here, there and everywhere. You do the crime, well.... If the common man gets tossed in jail, so be it. He is no different from anyone. Why the special attention?

HERES THE DEAL:::
He doesnt want them to look at his medical records... because then the Feds will find out that his doctor(s) attributed his hearing loss to Oxycontin overuse.... At some point when he went deaf they must have done some tests and certain specialists must have found out he was taking 20 pills a day and noted down in the records that was the one and only reason for the deafness. |

why does anyone really care, how does what happen to Limbaugh have any effect on your life? or anyone elses?
If Franken were caught with a bag of weed do you think I would care?......nope. |

Good point. The only reason I take note of it is cuzzin of Limbaugh's self-righteous 'throw away the key' response to drug addicts in the past.
The man claims to be never wrong. Uhhh, Rush, you's wrong on this one.

No!!! Really??? No Fake!!! Guess what. When I go to court for speeding tickets, I don't want them to see the 3 DUIs, 4 Racing or the other 5 speeding tickets there either. Once again, how is this different?

Flush on Drugs:
"When you strip it all away, Jerry Garcia (former Grateful Dead guitarist) destroyed his life on drugs. And yet he's being honored, like some godlike figure. Our priorities are out of whack, folks." "And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up." Wasn't the ONDCP running ads equating drug use with terrorism a while back? Flush is a big fan of "Club Gitmo", so I live for the day when his lardass is hauled off there for some waterboarding. |

Of course he was!
When I go to court for speeding tickets, I don't want them to see the 3 DUIs, 4 Racing or the other 5 speeding tickets there either. Once again, how is this different? I think it all should be admitted into evidence. |

It is pretty simple, actually. Let's say Limbaugh had a wart removed from his pecker when he was 10.
Well this is apples and oranges isn't? Let's try to stay on point. Loss of hearing and use of OC. Now are they related? You bet they are! ever notice about how the liberals were demaning "Tookie" Williams be commuted to life or even released.....yet are still so fixated about Rush and a insignificant crime .......drug use VS 4 murders.... PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Dottie Neeley, 87, was fingerprinted, photographed and thrown in jail, imprisoned as much by the tubing from her oxygen tank as by the concrete and steel around her. Neeley, who spent two days in jail after her arrest last December, is among a growing number of Kentucky citizens charged in a crackdown on a crime that authorities say is rampant in Appalachia: Elderly people are reselling their painkillers and other medications to addicts. "When a person is on Social Security, drawing $500 a month, and they can sell their pain pills for $10 apiece, they'll take half of them for themselves and sell the other half to pay their electric bills or buy groceries," Floyd County jailer Roger Webb said. This is why! When little old ladies are going to jail so should he! |
