router question
my neighbor is working on his fence and part of it involves a router.. a ryobi we borrowed from a neighbor .. we need to change the bit so it routes a channel a half inch wide instead of 1/8.. we cant figure out how to get the bit out and the neighbor who owns the router isnt home.. so .. how do we not break the router and get the bit out to put a bigger cutting thing in

Generally they have a collet wrench. Some have a button you hold in which locks the shaft so you can undo the collet with the wrench. Others have a hole that you put a metal rod in that holds the shaft. Often the collet wrench stores somewhere on the tool itself.

we already had to replace one neighbors saw since my neighbor i was helping with the fence put the circular saw down and the cord got caught in the blade.. so he went to sears and got the same exact saw on sale to replace the broken one which was fixed with duct tape
