Which is better for the car?

A 99 C230k with low mileage and pristine condition. I want it kept that way for the longest time. I dont even take it out in the rain!

Which is better....

I drive it mostly on Thursdays - sundays and the rest of the time it sits. During those driven days it does a average total of 100 miles.

Is it better for a car to sit more to "preserve" it or drive everyday?

Without question the car will be better in the long ruin and have less mechanical issues if it is driven everyday.

Definetly drive it regularly. As long as you take car of it, maintain it well and keep it clean it will stay in good condition.

If its stop and go I dont know how good it would be for your car. I know a guy who got a new Honda and was driving it to work which is like a mile away. The engine just barely warms up and then he turns it off and gets to work... that must be torture for the poor thing.

I ensure to have the engine warmed up always before getting to my destination. Sometimes I visit a freind a km away and I actually drive around extra to warm it up before I get there.

Personally, I drive 'em 'cause that's what cars are for. A W202 C-Class won't be a collectible, so you're really increasing your depreciation cost per km as a super-low km example isn't really worth a substantial premium over a typical mileage one.

Life's too short to admire cars, motorcycles, women or mountains from afar...

If you bought it to drive, then drive it.

If you bought it to admire, then store it.

Leaving a car in the garage most of the week is like be married to a Playboy bunny and hittin it only once a week.
