What to do with old PC software?

I have scads of software applications and documents dating back to the early days of the PC. Different genres -- accounting, word processing, desk top publishing, databases, spreadsheets, OSes, NOSes, programming languages and so on. But none that has been used by any known human in 5 to 15 years. What to do with this stuff? Toss it? Are the floppy disks accepted as recyclable? Is there some value to be recovered by eBay or Craig’s list?

I give all my old stuff to Goodwill, including hardware. I wish that there was some wahy it could be sent to some 3rd world school children. I'd like to donate stuff to the D.R. or Haiti.

I might be interested in some of it, do you have a list of what you have? I work on legacy hardware still alive but near the end of service life that is connected to a computer. It’s tough keeping it going but it’s not worth upgrading it. Right now I’m working on a 486 (with a new 40GB hard drive) DOS 6.2, Windows 3.1, and Microsoft Visual C++ 1.0 (yes the original builders based it on the first version), and that’s a newer one.

Put it on ebay and craigslist. People will buy anything for the right price.
