I don't have the time to mess with WVO, which is a shame because I have an unlimited free source.

When it gets warm again, I may order a 55gal drum of SVO to get my fix I can get it for around $2.10 delivered and I have a pump for my tractors.
Weren't you driving like a bat outta hell when your car was on veggie oil?? I remember reading that you were going around and chirping the tires and such...

Also, congrats on the purchase of the 300SDL. I want to buy one, but have no space in the driveway.

That's a really good idea. I'm resisting every temptation to start ordering the various parts for the conversion. Its got to be rock-solid reliable in order to meet my needs (wife will be driving it 170 miles each day). So, I want to thoroughly road test it before I start the conversion (or buy the parts). I'll include a SVO test in the road testing schedule too.

Thanks for the warm greets and well wishes everyone!

One more piece of advice---don't go over to the diesel section and ask whether synthetic oil or dino is better for a diesel. Just don't

HA! I'd be lying if I said that didn't spark my curiosity.
I'll try the search button.

I figured I'd update this thread with the news that I am RUNNING ON WVO as of this weekend.

The system is entirely coolant based. Hotfox in the tank, heated fuel filter and a 16 plate flat plate heat exchanger. I'm using the OEM tank for grease and a little 8-gal tank for the diesel.

Pics to follow.
