Like going to the salon for an earth-friendly herbal shampoo and enema so they will look and feel cleansed before unctuously pleading for small furry creatures, energy conservation and whirled peas.

Small or not, the issue is this. It is kinda hard to take advice from someone who is doing the same crime about not doing the crime.

dream on with what they want you to believe.....there are a few that actually do what they preach....but they are a vast minority.

And with that vast majority, it kinda smacks of a convicted criminal who is still committing crimes scolding another thief for the same thing. Or a catholic priest telling people about honesty, standing up for principles and not molesting kids. IOW, do as I say, don't do as I do.

I own a fuel hog huge truck.(14 mpg highway)...but you know what? That truck sees all of 1,000 miles a year since I bought it....I only use it to carry stuff that doesn't fit my car... and at times to keep fluids circulated and keep brakes from rusting up and batteries charged (yeah it has two). It however is not my daily driver.

I own the excursion in my sig. It takes my dogs to and from the vet, parks, etc, etc. I also use it to take them on vacations. I switched to the diesel because I needed it to pull an 8500# Toyhauler with 2 ATVs in it. The 5.3L NA Suburban wasn't going to cut it. In my dead time, I help (for a fee) someone transport about 5000 copies of a newspaper. Also it is my 2nd car or probably 3rd since the Vette (the fun toy) gets used in the summer when I want to play. It isn't good for transporting groceries and what not so I use the SUV for that. I also use it on snow days to take the wife to work since it has 4X4 and is bigger in case some clown hits me.

Silly me. I forgot that Hollywood stars surrender all rights to their citizenship after they become prominent in the public view.

A lot of 'em are a bit clownish. So what? Millions of ditto heads aren't?

Oh yeah? Well my van gets 11 mpg and I drive it 500 miles a year. Got my Mercedes trunk so full of tools, the hind end sags.

Part of the equation doesn't work. Dittoheads don't give a shirt about the environment and so why should they drive a Prius?

The Hollywoody types hug pictures of baby seals and pound animals, encourage the little people to hang their was on the line and bicycle, yet buy diamond dog collars for FiFi and wear designer clothes hand-washed by illegal immigrants, and own fleets of gas-guzzling cars.
