Funny thing... Been in our house in Fort Lauderdale for 8 weeks now. One of the neighbors has a wireless router... dunno which it is, but they are savy enough to have created a secured access, but the unsecured still remains, hence my input...

I noticed mine at home does the same thing. It is a Linksys, you know the blue and black ones... How do you avoid this?

this has to do with a simple router and networking. It's not a vintage diesel where we need a zillion posts to overkill the topic. simple questions require simple answers. hope all will agree. good luck

Expensive but the best solution. Make sure it's grounded too. Don't forget the windows and screens.

Use 128 bit and a long key in addition to MAC address filtering.

Do a net search on network security. Lots of sites.

Change the password and use a combination of upper, lower case letters and some numbers. Don't use your house address or your license plate number, mother's maiden name, SS# etc.
