Thumbs up a/c wont get cold

hi.. i have a question for you guys i have a 1996 ford ranger and im having a problem with my a/c not getting cold, i put 2 cans of freon r134 and the compressor comes on and the system is full of freon, but my a/c never got cold, i dont understand i touch the a/c hoses comming from the condensor and they are very hot blowing hot inside to, what can this be please help me its getting hot here in houston tx thank you guys for the help.

IMHO, you may have to put a vacum pump on the system for a while and get all the air and moisture out. The a/c won't cool if there is air in the system. Also, r134 is very sensitive to overcharging. It's best to undercharge slightly to allow for expansion.
