How about finding out WHY it failed first and then see what to do?

my ghia failed first time around when i lived in AZ, all it needed was a quick tuneup and it passed no problemmo.

My dad had a very old F150 that just would not pass emissions, it was an 83 I think with a carb and ran like crap. So come emissions time he would purchase a bunch of rubbing alcohol and pour that in the tank. It passed with flying colors.

Run the tank down low and add I don't know maybe 2 gallons of alcohol. If for some reason that doesn't cut it increase the mixture.

Until you notice a difference in the way it runs. It will kill hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide
