Nixon got caught and stepped down.....Clinton got caught and denied it to the specked dress end.

Bush has yet to be proven to have done anything wrong....and upseting liberals is not a crime for what its worth, as much as the left just hates being contradicted no crime was committed doing it.

Wow! Political wrangling enters a thread condemning political wrangling!

Hey Hat, what are the chances that a synthetic vs dino oil would NOT turn political? And which oil is safe for libertarian use?

Perhaps, but some folks do seem more partisan than others. I've actually begun to see certain types of strong partisanship as a form of bigotry...

Don't be so hard on yourself.

That too is "eye of the beholder." Clearly you think so too as you say, "some people seem more partisan than others." This implies a continuum of perceptions as well as beliefs. For example, would you characterize yourself as 'fair and balanced' and your positions on this or that issue are reasonable? I think most people would say that of themselves.

On the other hand, most of us easily see the glaring deficiencies and biases and yes, bigotry of others.

As long as you don't align yourself with one side or the other to the exclusion of all else, there is at least some degree of open-mindedness. I also believe that "fair and balanced" is something worth striving for, whether or not it is actually attainable -- another case of the effort being its own reward, so to speak...

Count how many times you have challenged kv about his beliefs, it should't take more than a second.

I have actually taken kv to task in his blanket condemnations of Bush more than once, and have argued other issues as well. But in general, I admit I agree with him more than I disagree. How many times have you challenged Bot about his beliefs? What does that prove anyways? We all land on one side of the fence or the other. Some are willing to entertain ideas from the other side, and some aren't -- and that's my only point...

Often, especially concerning some issues of the war in Iraq. We've argued here and also offline. We understand each other's positions and why we hold them and generally realize there's not much more to be said, so why bore each other?

MedMech and I generally agree to disagree. Unlike some folks around here, MM and I don't see a need to start a whole new damned thread on the subject 3-4 times per week just to say the same tired-a$$ things over and over again.

There was a thread about 4 days ago where he and I went back and forth for 40 or so posts and another the week before that.
