I've got a perscription nasal spray that kicks ass.

I've always hated nasal spray but this has made my allergies seriously disappear.

I was never allergic to anything (I don't think) before moving to the Pacific north west. What gets me out here is mold. I'm lucky because once the pollen starts, there are people who walk around town with hospital masks on, and I know one guy who's completely unfunctional without special shots from his doctor.

I use an OTC nasal spray called Zicam. Some of my friends have complained about the silicon-y type feeling the inside of your nose gets, but it didn't bother me. It made sleeping much easier.

I've got a choice friends with allergies to dogs... I'm allways hauling Colt (our brittney) in the cab of my truck...

More excuse to move things into the back of the truck

I cant imagion having allergies, Luckly I dont have any that I know of
Is there anybody who can explain how Darwins Theory works into that? I'm learning about it in school, and I see only disadvantages to being allergic to something... Unless, like ray, its saving him from working I dont get it

Life is wierd, but we can fix it
Right?

I've never had allergies as bad as this year's. I live next to old-growth forests and there's a LOT of pollin floating everywhere.

They make me feel like this guy:

I've tried generic Claritin, but after feeling better, my sinuses and lungs are filling up with mucus again. Don't know what to do!!......

A friend suggested some kind of nasal flush available at Whole Foods (Fresh Fields) in which you fill up a resevoir with salt water, insert one end of it into one nostril, and wait until the solution goes through your sinuses and drains out the other nostril! Sounds disgusting, but at this point I'll try anything!! My lungs hurt from sneezing so much.....

My wife started doing those last week. She said at first she thought it made her feel worse but now they seem to be working pretty well for her.

It's kinda funny seeing her standing over the sink shooting water in her nose that's coming out of her mouth. And I kiss her?

I went to my doctor recently and learned that most OTC decongestants are meant to be taken very seldomly. If you take them on a regular basis they not only stop working but can have the opposite effect, which of course makes you take more. I bet I took some kind of decongestant or allergy pill every day for well over two years. I recently just stopped taking them and felt much better after about a week.

Seriously though, try the nasal spray.

I have never had problems before, but this year I have had it rough. My eyes would water/itch and my nose would run. Generic 24-hour Claritin worked well, but you had to take it EVERY day and let it build up in your system.

I went to go buy more, and I guess they limit how much you can buy in one month. The pharmacist said people use it to make meth, so you can basically buy a week's supply every month.

Zyrtec works well for me.

Makes me quite sleepy, so I take it before going to bed rather than 1st thing in AM.

This year has been MUCH worse than prior years but the Zyrtec does help make things a bit more bearable.
