Cool Went off the Deep End - Cell Phone Revenge

I will probably get flamed on this thread, oh well. I have had to resort to extremes; my last kid in the house is involved in tennis, in a very serious way. Its incredible how rude other parents and guest are when their kid is not on the court. Cell phones ringing with Dukes of Hazard theme songs, everyone talking on their phones, talk, yell, laugh – screw everyone. Few have the common courtesy to walk out of the court area.

I acquired a cell phone jammer, very professional 18 watt up to 3 Ghz range including WiFi and Blue tooth. Yup, I know there not legal. This works so well. I could actually watch the match last night, nice 300’ range.

Oh…and what do people say most often when they loose their cell signal? Believe it or not “can you hear me now?” It's intention was only to keep people off the phone during play, but I have to admit, it was hilarious.

Quiet on the court

I want one !!

You wont get flamed by me. Sometimes you have to go to extremes. More power to ya. Not to mention - I can see you sitting there just giggling your @ss off.

Did you try talking with the staff? Maybe they could put up “No Cell Phone Use” signs. They have them at all the PGA/LPGA tournaments we go to. If your phone rings at one of those, what happens to you isn’t pretty at all.

The only negative thing I could think of was if a doctor was in the stands and someone was trying to get a hold of them. But they’d probably be smart enough to check their signal strength and notice it was nil.

Where can I get one?!?!

From Newhouse News:

The FCC has fielded enough queries about the legality of cell phone jammers that it issued a notice last year. In it, the agency warns that jammers violate federal laws that broadly prohibit interfering with licensed radio spectrum. Owning, manufacturing, marketing, offering for sale or operating a cell phone jammer is punishable by an $11,000 fine and up to a year in prison for each offense, the notice states.

Stern warnings to the contrary, the agency has never seized a single jammer or prosecuted an operator to the best of his knowledge, said Richard Welch, associate chief of the FCC's Enforcement Bureau.

That said. I STILL WANT ONE !!!

This would be coo to have.....

I would have my dad put it in his classroom, as then nobody could text while in class.... It is the perfect deterrent.

But seriously though, I would like to cough(buy)cough one of these. I found this one, but it doent look like it is that strong.

I agree. It's a fantastic device.

I presume you had to go outside the USA to get it and that you're looking at upwards of $500.

But, able to watch a tennis match in silence:PRICELESS

Here's one of them:

$2000.00

Have fun with this thing but be careful. 18 watts at 3 Ghz is enough to start cooking some brain cells. I would not want to be sitting next to it for very long. I ran a quick calculation on it, about 1 foot from the antenna would be the minimum safe distance.

And don't put it in your pocket.
