this deal is a lease... this came about partly becuase of the st00pid I69 (nafta highway) Indiana has no money for it and this way they will.. the thing is that we already blew more money on that project then any other state that this highway runs through and not one drop of concrete has been poured.. the fight has been long and tough for all sides.. this is not as done deal as it may seem.. our red governor slipped a fast one here but there are at least two different lawsuits going on and the deal can't really be done untill those clear..

the other thing is that it is once again being sold as creating jobs for hoosiers.. bs.. the money is going to get syphoned off to spain not indiana.. i80 is the busiest highway in the world thus the tolls are also going up.. this is not a good deal for anybody but maybe the short term solution without consideration to long term effects. it's just another elephant sitting on us all.

Not a bright idea...

We the People, "the Government" build these highways on our collective tax dollars. We the People agreed to pay an additional tax through the use of tolls and tickets. We the People build the highways for safety and common good of all whom want to travel our great country. That is why one person does not own a certain stretch of highway, because we maybe paying some type of fees to a person for the use of a few miles of their highway. The early railroad companies had this problem of paying land owners for a portion of their land to lay the railroad companies rails.

We the People agreed to pay an additional tax through the use of tolls and tickets. How is it possible that these highways are traveled everyday by millions of motorist day/night and it does not generate enough revenue to keep it well maintan. I say certain official are mismanaging the revenue. I know that here in Florida we have the Florida Turnpike and in the past the toll fees were so outrages that We the People complained and the lawmakers we voted to represent us listen and decide to reduce the Florida Turnpike toll fees for the good of all motorist. Now what will happen to Indiana highways, if, We the People become outrage with the toll fees whom will represent us and will there be any government officials able to address the toll fees issue. I think not because the private company is there to make money not to encourage good will for the good of the people.

Hey, Bot. Don't pick on me. Times are tough. I used to have a yacht and six mistresses. Now all I've got is a rowboat and two oars......
