This guy's brother is Mike D, from the Beastie Boys. If he needs 250K, surely there is a faster way to get it than whoring out t-shirts.

Yet, somehow it fits with the Screech personna, doesn't it?

I'll bet that his poor credit and the mentality it takes to beg for money rather than earn it to save a house for which he cannot pay, are related.

And how did you get your life on track after playing Eddie Haskell all those years ago?

On a serious note, Mrs. Az and I intentionally derailed our lives now to better our future. We sacrificed all of the goodies and toys and comfort for which we had worked to invest in a more secure and pecuniarily responsible life.
Delayed gratification is the name of the game, boys and girls; but I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I? For the record, we are one year away from our first major goal. The rest is exponentially downhill. |

Does Mrs. Azimuth still call you by that cute pet name? You know -- "dead weight"?
Sorry -- I can't help it -- I'm a bad man. Anyway, a brief but serious response -- gratification means very different things at different stages of our life. Did you see the man in Sedona interviewed on TV who had lost his home to fire a couple weeks ago? His was the only home lost. He considered the event a blessing, as it relieved him of all of his material encumbrances. Of course, it didn't hurt that it was an expensive home and doubtlessly well-insured. Still, I was struck by his calm and his disposition so soon after what most of us would consider a terrible tragedy. |

I didn't see it, but I imagine in light of what could have been lost, I'd be glad it was just stuff. Incedentally, the fire seems to have reversed itself and is headed back to the homes. I suppose there is an advantage to living in student housing in the desert. |
