Aaaarrrghhh!

Sorry, just needed to vent. Stepped on a rusty nail this morning.

PSA: Be careful when working with things that can hurt you.

Yeah, in '99, good for 10 years. I'm leaving for the clinic now, though- might be infected.

Cheers,
Ned

Edit: Back from clinic. Got a tetanus booster shot(since it was a while back, and the nail was dirty) and a week of antibiotics. And an excuse to be lazy.

Glad your o.k. did they say why they were giving you antibiotics?

After it happened, I called my friend who is an RN, she told me since it was swollen and warm to the touch, there was a good chance of infection. Doctor agreed, and said that it was a good idea to have them, if only preventatively.

I have some oxycodone leftover from a surgery last year, but it makes me dizzy, and is in another state.

Actually I've never tried any of the painkillers. "Did you get any good ones" just seems to be the thing to say when someone injures themselves and goes to the doctor.

That's what everyone was asking me when I stabbed myself opening something in a not-to-be-recommended way. All I got was Tylenol 3...
