Lockheed Constellation/Supper Connie, long, slim fuselage, triple tail, just a great looking prop liner.

Exactly the Aurora would be the plane I would like to see.

My favorites

Historic:

P-51 Mustang
Spitfire
F4U Corsair
Messerschmitt 109

In service:

F-16 50,000 ft/min initial climb. When lightly loaded, it can accelerate straight up.
B-52 50 years in service and still the best way to wipe out a whole lot of bad guys in a hurry.
C-130 Small enough to operate off dirt strips, big enough to carry all the really important stuff, oh and they've been around almost as long as the B-52.

I also have a soft spot for the T-34C, the only fixed-wing aircraft I have any stick time in (Got a hop in one when I was a Midshipman. The pilot let me fly it for about 20 minutes.)

Hmm

For American planes, I love the mean looks of the F14D, the A7 Corsair, and the A6 Intruder:

But alas, my heart is with Russian/Soviet Planes: The MiG-29 and SU-27(and Variants):

The super-manuverability of the Su-27/Su-37 is AMAZING!
Watch it somersault within it's own length in this video(towards end of clip):

Howdy Emmerich,
My neighbor had 2 of them. One was in his yard for a while. Both were fliers.

Unless an 88 went through the wing.
