In the hotrod world, what is highboy and lowboy?
Seems to have to do with 32 Ford roadsters.
Thanks, Sixto |

a highboy rod is one in which the body sits on top of the frame in the original configuration.
a low boy is one in which the body is "channelled" which means it is set lower, over the frame. channeling makes a car look a lot lower and sleeker. doing it is very complicated as you have to reconstruct the floor at a new location and redo all the body mount points without destroying the ability to open and close things like doors and trunk lids. a lowboy looks very cool though. i wonder though how many of them you can sit in and drive comfortably. tom w
