A loss of class?

It's not un common to see girls wearing beggy sweats these days. It seems weird that some girls would decide to not car about their appearance, when they might otherwise look very nice. I suppose that the athletic look can be attractive in some places, but when you find it in reseraunts, shoping mall, and all over campus, it becomes a little excessive. I seem to notice this more and more as time goes on. In those cases, it almosts looks like they just showed up out of bed.

Are you serious?

Are there not far more important things to worry about?

Are you really so bored that you feel inclined to critically analyze the "classiness" (or lack thereof) in womens' clothing trends?

Is this not Off Topic?

With the 43rd thread on the new rule still active, one might ponder if perhaps dude just snapped. Maybe misdirected rage or hes just sick of moronic topics, in any case tomorrows monday, so it can only get worse.

I think all american women have pretty lousy fashion sense, like sagging pants, then they call them hip huggers or low rise, but they're just..... sagging pants. usually fat chicks, probably just too much effort to fit them over their arses. In comes the sweats, they stretch!

Sorry, I was making a general comment about the forum. I apologize if it seemed I was insulting you.

Its all good guy, I figured if you put my comment on your sig. it wasnt directed at me. After a minute I thought maybe something with the avatar.

John Holmes III 07-09-2006 09:24 PM

Oh man, I don't even look at those anymore, after I took a close look at yours I understand.

Btw, I see college coed wearing what looks like pajamas out in public. It's repulsive to me, so whatever happened to wearing a nice dress?
Yesterday, I saw a coed wearing a bikini walking down the street, can you say skank?

Yeah, but I also see this look on a lot of well fit girls that look quite good in a nice skirt and jeans, but instead wear sweats and mesh shorts day after day. Kind of out of place in a business school too.

John Doe 07-10-2006 10:56 AM

Those chicks are at someone's fishing cabin. The sweats don't bother me in that context, but in the many thousands of beers I chugged, shotgunned, keyed or bonged i college, I am proud to say I never saw a girl do that. Most of the pictures in that album are of girls bonging beers. Wonder which one went "down (or 'down') first? Sad.

The word "loss" suggests that they had class at one time. Perhaps "total absence" is more fitting. Needless to say, dress is becoming so casual, there are fewer and fewer suits being worn even in button-down conservative DC. I have to stop my own kids from going out in public with their pajama bottoms on. Sometimes they manage to escape my scrutiny.

Who cares how people are dressed when they go to the mall? What, are you guys wearing Armani suits everywhere you go or something?

I can see complaining about clothes being too skimpy (well not complaining, per se), but not about sweat pants. If she doesn't want you ogling her that's her business.

Class is certainly a matter of individual choice.
