Ok. a BJ would be nice, but there limits to what can be reasonably expected with everything else going.
I've been asking for a hummer for my birthday for years. Finally got one this year. No, it does NOT get any better than that!

It took me years of buying and selling to upgrade to where I am now and I can't find anything that sounds better and is affordable enough to consider. Thus, I have all but quit looking! Did I mention the interconnects are assembled from 1940's vintage Western Electric cloth-wrapped cable? Not that it sounds better than the fancy stuff (not worse, either, FWIW), but it's fun to tell people that they're listening to single-driver (4.5") speakers through a 1930's amplifier circuit with period cabling.

Try some of that tuner cleaner spray (check Rat Shack, they carry it) on your potentiometers and what not. That may help with your noise problem. And bust those records out -- lack of use is abuse!

As long a wait as I had for the first one, I'm not going to be greedy. Hey, wait a minute. We are talking about gas-guzzling SUV's here, aren't we?

I will definitely call you before dropping by, Carleton. So far I've seen two pictures of you. There's a glass of wine in your hand in one and a gun in the other!

BTW I love the smell of napalm in the morning . . .

Looks like a flintlock to me. Personally, I'd use a 22 LR. Smaller hole than a 45 or 50 cal ball bearing.
