Lost Address Book in Thunderbird - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Though I don't know if it is connected or not, during the day I had a brief power outage. When I arrived home my computer was off (automatically when power fails). I booted it but it went through the normal check due to not shutting down properly (Windows XP is my OS). I tried to retreive an e-mail address and they are not to be found. Anyone have an idea how to recover them? I already tried restoring to yesterday's settings but of course that did not help.

Start → Run → %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles" will open the Thunderbird "Profiles" folder.

Thank you. It opened and I viewed the lines but I still don't know how to get my address book back. Supposedly there is a backup file that was created when they became "lost".

Change of subject . . . from your previous posts I notice you are impressed with the Macs. I am about due for an upgrade of my computer and keep thinking of what you have written. Are they that much better? I use my computer primarily for three things; e-mail/browsing, Photoshop and wordprocessing. Are the new Macs able to run Windows based apps? Which model should I consider. Though price is somewhat of a factor, it is not going to stop me from getting what I want.

Perhaps worth taking a look.
There is no pricing in the above link however Macs usually command a premium over PCs.
