Good Lord man, you are stuck in the '70s. You are as bad as I am. Almost...

I was BBQ'ing thie evening. Listening to the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan.

I am enjoying a mini-working-vacation before my youngest female offspring goes off to college.

I am getting older and poorer by the minute.

Me too

Stuck in the 70's. At times, anyhow. Love Steely Dan! Also, The Band. When I listen to The Last Waltz, I get very maudlin and wish they were still together. Hell, I wish they were still all LIVING. No chance of a reunion tour for those guys anymore. I think two or three of them are dead now.

Where have you been hiding lately, haven't seen many of your posts. Are you worshipping at Sid's altar?

I love Steely Dan. They "carried" me through high school and college.

If you are a fan of America (the band) they will be in concert at Pepperdine University (in Malibu, CA). I am taking one of my kids, she loves them.

Since I work at night, I listen to www.wgms.com streaming audio. That's classical music for those who care to click the link.

Every now and then work begins to cut into my leisure activities and I have to stop, evaluate my priorities, and head back here. I'm just fascinated by the "altar," of course. Just like everyone else here seems to be.

This afternoon I'm listening to Herbbie Mann's Memphis Underground. That was the place where my interest in jazz began thirty-five years ago.

It is pretty cool how our generation's kids seem to like the music we were listening to when we were their age, isn't it?

I am blessed, my kids don't listen to rap and they love the old classics.

I've taken my kids to Moody Blues and Simon and Garfunkel concerts.

They have taken me to see 'Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt, A Perfect Circle and Ani De Franco.

I consider it an even trade.

Hey, I would like to meet your kids. I kinda like some rap, but not a whole lot.

Personally, I love The Who, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, 38 Special, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, etc...

I have the poster "Clapton is God" on my wall at home!

I saw him in Boston 5 or 6 years ago. His fingers are long and flat like they've been run over by a steamroller or something.

Obviously I'm also a fan of his.

That's OK, nobody's perfect. We won't hold it against you. But we might make fun of you every now and then.
