Do you know there are people out there who actually believe he's alive? A friend of mine saw Elvis' autopsy report and it wasn't pretty.

I don't care one way or the other (and I believe it about the autopsy, he wasn't too pretty for several years prior to the autopsy). But Elvis made me think of the aforementioned sammich, and it is delicious!

Yes, it is a yes. I have no reason to believe that the accounts of Anan's son being an opportunistic flake are incorrect.

Unusual for me, I wasn't trying to take a shot at the Dubblesgroover family. Just that Anan is somewhat responsible for his son, but it does happen a lot, best I can tell, that the son of a rich and/or powerful man doesn't fully develop and grow as well as a young man who didn't think he had all sorts of automatic status by virtue of his birth.

Come to think of it, that does describe the "W" to some degree.

To me, having a white member of the white establishment (not many non-whites in the Senate) reveal possible bias against minorities while speaking to a rural Virginia crowd is worse than what Young said. Given the history of race relations in Virginia, a double standard by the media is justified (within reason).
What he said.

Young is not testing the waters for a presidential bid. Allen is (was).

Young's remarks were assinine. I've been in plenty of neighborhoods that have the kind of small markets he speaks of. In Oakland and vicinity, a lot of them are indeed operated by Arabs. Many of the rougher black neighborhoods are not well served by the big supermarkets. For a person w/o a car, the small markets are a blessing. Young's remarks about stale bread, meat, etc. were off base. Those small markets are not making anyone rich in a hurry. They have to sell their stuff. If it's that bad, people can always catch a cab to WalMart.

You and your party are free to do whatever floats your boat, unencumbered by the telepathic waves of contempt that wash from my soul.

It is now time to drop the "big tent" delusion. Your tent is now Repo-sized, just shifted leftward.

My party, as though I attend regular stratagy sessions.

What, the demos should somehow be able to accomodate all viewpoints, from all points on the spectrum? How could that possibly work?

I'm all for strict differentiation between the parties. The more strict they are, the greater the likelihood of a 3rd party success.

Just don't claim that the Democrats are all that compared to the Repos. Both have their peculiar little tent-dancies.

I have serious problems with many demos and the party in general. I've often said that it is my party by default.

I've claimed that the demos are "all that?"

Speaking of good Repos, Chris Shays of Conn. is impressing me of late. Talking serious talk about rooting out corruption and he's past worried about placating W on the war.
