... When will enough be enough???

May your God(s) watch over him.
And tell him thank you for his service! |
God bless

There is no good answer to your question. |
I saw a young kid wearing a shirt today that read, "Draft Beer - Not Soliders".
Don't know what makes me think of it for your thread, but anyway... I'll pray for him tonight. As to your question, "When will enough be enough?" -- I wish I had an answer. We've got ourselves into a mighty tough one with all this. The people that support Bush are simply not willing to admit a mistake, and sadly, young men and women are paying the price for that. But anyway... seriously, prayer does work. I know it sounds crazy to some folks... but, hey, what can I say. :) Pete |

NKowi, our prayers are with your son, as they are with every American man and woman in harm's way. I have daughters and a son and I know how I'd feel if any of them was in your son's situation. May you soon be able to hold him and he hold you too. Thank him for me, please. |
Your son and you have the gratitude of myself and my family.
May he come back soon and unharmed. Of course, our prayers are with him and all those serving here and overseas. |
God speed him home safely.

Easy Bud, he asked the question and I gave a him a reasonable answer based on our Commander in Chiefs projection Don't be so pissy. And I did/do sincerely wish all goes well. |

Second, you still chose to make a political statement at a time when Nkowi probably needs moral support, more than anything else. (I do apologize NKowi if I got it wrong). Last, only you and GD made a political statement out of it. And even GD, to his credit, tempered it. |
How about we try and keep *this* one in our hearts?

Thank your son and his mother for their sacrifice and service to our country. Thank you for that and the fortitude necesary to allow how him to stand and deliver with dignity.
Enough would be tomorrow if the enemy would put down it's weapons and allow free people to choose the course of their lives. We are all indebted to you and those like you. |

Now go to your room....you need to be a spanked! Godspeed and may your son be returned safely.... |
Best wishes to your son. This has got to be hard on you and his Mother, too.
Take care. B |

I'm not trying to be an ass but your son signed up for the military. I know it's sad to see your son go but he ultimately had a choice whether he would go or not. He does get the little perks as well....free education, medical care etc. None of that stuff comes free.
Anyway, best wishes to him but he'll be fine though. I wish I had enough balls to join the military.... |

The point is, that even if he were getting a million dollars and a million virgins while alive, his parents will still be worried about him. Of course he had a choice, that doesn't make a parent sleep any better at night.:behead: to Kamil. |

May God bless your son as he serves our Country and I pray that he'll return safe, soon and unharmed to you.
He and all our soldiers who go in harm's way are great heroes. I would be grateful if you would offer him my thanks and gratitude for his service. |
Unlike most here, I don`t believe there is a god who will ensure your son`s safe return, but I do wish him and those with him the best. Please thank him for me for his service to our once great nation. My hat is off to him and his companions.
|
All the best to you and your son. Tell him we appreciate his service. Here's to a safe return!
|
Best wishes to your son.
|
I wish your son well, and hope his absence goes by quickly for you and his mom.

At the very least, he didn't duck it under some stupid thing like saying he is a CO after having receieved all the benifits or running off to another country. That in itself says a lot about this young man and all of it good. Secondly, unpleasant as it is, he obeyed a legal order. Unlike a lot of muslim soldiers we have in the army who were called to Afghanistan, he didn't feel that he had to consult someone about whether he should go to war or not. He obeyed a legal order. Another thing that speaks volumes about him. Every thought that maybe he enjoyed that lifestyle when he signed up? I mean, do you sign up with the armed forces hoping to get the bennies and never have to pay back. |
Best wishes
NKowi - I can't even imagine the worry you and yours must feel and/or how you deal with it. I hope he returns safely.
|
My heartfelt thanks for the extreme sacrifice your son and your family are both making. May he and the others return safe and unharmed. God bless.

I hate this war and all the politics that surround it, but that does not change the lump in my throat thinking about another serviceman going off to fight. I hope your son has a very safe journey and that the worst thing that happens to him is that he gets a sunburn. In this world of no responsibility your son has taken the bull by the horns, and I commend him for it. Let your family know that the people here at shop forum have your son and his safety in our thoughts. |
