back pain
I'm 57, in good health, but don't get any execrise, and about twice a year I strain my lower back muscles. Happend this morning as I tried to take my canoe through the woods to the lake for some early morning bass fishing. Once more the fish are safe. Any suggestions for exercise to strenghten the lower back muscles?

I'm a big fan of chiropractic medicine. It's gotten me through two whiplash accidents (one severe) and a popped rib, besides simply getting everything aligned. Your chiropractor should also be able to advise on excersise to strengthen things up.
Hope you feel better.... I'm sure the fish do!

Try a google search on what? "Back Exercises".
I'm betting about a bazillion results. Boils down to being out of shape and lack of muscle tone. You don't need a Chiropractor to correct this situation. Steve |

FWIW, I'm a similar age (54), get a decent amount of exercise, but have similar problems.
Finally this year went to the MD, and after an Xray & MRI, he discovered I have spondylolisthesis (mislocated vertebra). Anyhow you may want to check further before just doing exercises, to find out if there's something structurally wrong, before you make it worse. Just a thought. |
