Good ones, all.

Out of my archives; three, not funniest ~ but funny, family oriented favorites.
Baron Von Munchausen (sp?)... 'got to love Vulcan the god of war (Oliver Reed) and his wife (Uma Thurman) as Venus.'
Muppet treasure Island 'Muppets put on their best show ever!' and...
Willie Wonka ...

"A little nonsense now and then is treasured by the wisest men."

I saw Reservoir Dogs. I don't remember it being a comedy. Didn't they all kill each other in the end?

I was going to raise that same issue. I thought I had a kind of perverted sense of humor but it never occurred to me that Reservoir Dogs might be funny.

Because as Brian Carlton says "most people are morons"

It takes an open mind and sense of humor to "get it" .

Did you like MST3K?

The first NAKED GUN movie.

I laughed so hard. My wife couldnt understand why I thought it was so funny. The first part where OJ is spying on the ship. When he goes to kick in the door and the only thing that happens is his leg goes thru the door. Then he tries to unlock the door by sticking his hand in thru the whole he just kicked in.

They even have a "Big Lebowski" festival every year in Louisville. Is that where the story was set? I can't remember. I just noticed that, because I used to live in Louisville, KY. It was a great movie. Thanks for mentioning it.

Talking Can't believe nobody's mentioned --

"Ghostbusters"! On top of imagination, it's full of sly humor:

"You don't often see that kind of behavior in a major appliance."
(-- Venkman, in response to Dana's story of her "haunted" refrigerator)

Ray: "Let's split up."
Venkman: "Good idea; we can do more damage that way."
(-- At the hotel, where they've already trashed several corridors)

"It's a little pricey for a unique fixer-upper opportunity."
(-- Venkman, eyeing the disaster of a firehouse that later becomes their headquarters)

Spengler: "Don't cross the streams [from the particle guns]. . . . Try to imagine the universe imploding and every atom in your body receding at the speed of light."
Venkman: "And that's bad. Okay, everybody, important safety tip --!"

In contrast, the only line I remember from the 2nd film is:
Spengler: "I never had toys."
Ray (aghast): "Not even a Slinky?"
Spengler (nods): "I had a Slinky. I straightened it."

In addition to many great ones already mentioned, I'll add "This is Spinal Tap" and the first "American Pie" movies to the list.
