Gas prices are down 30+cents over the last month. Gas, here in Bel Air, MD can be bought at $2.459 ( Bud's).
The socialists among us will still complain, but I think the price drop shows the effectiveness of the old rules of economics.

My demand is up dramatically during my drive back to California, saw $2.17 in MO and paid $2.16 in Shawnee, OK. Keep them prices down for another 1400 miles.

Gas is too cheap. Should be up around $3.50 per gallon.........maybe add another $1.00 in gas taxes to boot.........keep some $hitboxes off the roads.

I just watched the Enron movie: The Smartest Guys in the Room. The part about the rolling blackouts in California was especially interesting. The bonus features on the DVD are as good or better than the movie. Make a law, start a business. The lobbyists paid to change the laws in California so their benefactors could and did steal over $30 billion through the electrical utilities. Tell me about conspiracies again? Free markets?

Sure. Good idea. While you are at it, raise the price of food, rent, etc, etc. Only a total moron believes that you can get $hitboxes off the road that way and they will stay off after that but gas prices won't affect anything else. You sound like those kids on a spook movie. Summon the demon to do your bidding and expect it to do your dirty work and disappear.

Yep, add another dollar for gas taxes. Brilliant. Give the govt more money to play with. Ever thought of giving crack addicts the key to the crack supply? WI just shuffled 425 mil from the transport fund (gas tax) to some other project to balance the budget and 600 mil before that. I don't mind paying gas taxes to fix the roads but they say it is necessary then shuffle it around which tells me that it is not necessary in the first place.

Why don't you grow a pair and shoot up those $hitboxes you are so fond of and place a label on them warning them what happens to those sort of vehicles. That will scare people from buying them and achieve your goals hurting less people.

Brian, do you really think the price of gas is going to keep those who clearly should be taking the bus, off the road?
