Exactly WHAT rights have YOU lost, guaranteed by the constitution? Not the typical D-crat hypothetical losses - what rights have YOU lost? Not your neighbor, YOU. Not some OBL look-a-like, YOU. Not an illegal - YOU. I want to know. Did you have a right to not carry an ID? What is your SS card? I think the SS card should be a photo ID, updated every three years under the age of 15, then every year for 10 years, then every 5 years after that until the age of 50, then no more renewals, unless volunteary. Or something similar to this plan, something that takes into account changes in appearance as time passes.

My SS card says it is illegal to use for identification. I think something has been lost here.

One of us is older than the other.
On the front of mine, it states "For social security and tax purposes - not for identification", and, on the back, near the top, it states to show it to your employer, to ascertain your account. It is a form of identification. Nothing on either side of the card about legalities. The card is used as a form of identification, but certainly a piece of paper with some numbers on it should not be used to ascertain the bearer of the card is actually the person named on the front. I read the "not for identification" as a warning to those asking for a SS card as identification that the bearer holding the card is not necessarily the person the card was issued to. And to the bearer, the bearer should not share the account number without caution. Now, if a photo was included, the card has a higher value as a form of id, but not perfect. The point of my SS card question is - dannym claims he's lost some rights. I simply requested to know exactly what specific constitutional rights he's lost. I have never read a right stating we have a right to NOT carry identification. I As far as I am concerned, dannym is confused about his rights. There is no right to not carry id, thus, if forced to carry an id, no right has been lost.
