So prices go back up a little. It won't be long before they come begging.

Maybe it's time we sent messages instead of bombs.....
I'm sure the price would go up way more than that if Venzuela were to cut us off. It seems like any bump in the road is a reason to totally freak out where gas prices are concerned...I'm sure the 10-15 cent impact per gallon is accurate in terms of their percentage of the supply, but I have no doubt prices would go up way more than that.

Of course Venzuela won't cut us off, and our gov't won't cut them off, either.

aklim, that's a pretty bad price for biodiesel. Here I can get B20 that's always a little less expensive than D2. I'd rather have B100 or 99 but that's about 30 cents more expensive and too far away for me to get it all the time.

It does seem with the ULSD that B99 now gives me better mileage than the dino stuff by 1.5-2 mpg or so, however.

If Americans want to boycott, they're certainly free to do it by protesting with their wallets. However, if the criteria is to boycott countries with leaders that have "diss'd" GWB . . . then the list is a lot bigger than Venezuela.

I find him to be very insulting, insulting enough that the hawk in me wants to return the favor with a bunker buster.

I put it in perspective like this. It's our job as Americans to piss and moan about our President, our job. I beat the crap out of my brother when we were kids all the time, but if anybody else messed with him, they would suffer a much worse a** whipping.

Yeah thats about how I see it. Its like giving a good friend a hard time, thats cool and you can do it. But when someone else dumps on your friend you dump on them.

American citizens complaining about the President is different then leaders of other nations.

Why? If he wants to shoot off his mouth, let him. It is not the waves outside that are going to give us problems. It is the waves inside that will

Citgo is a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., a state owned oil company, owned by the Venezuelan government of course.

So since there present government is run by nuts who are not friends of this country, why should I do business with them.

No more Citgo for me, we all should boycott them.

but you're more then willing to support the friendly iranians and their friendly arab neighbors instead? really? wouldn't those rigs just look splendid out there at hatteras?

Nah most of our oil doesn't come from the middle east. It was just an idea, I guess in a commodities situation it is pretty pointless.

I am a hawk, not a red neck nut job. So by such reasoning if I am not in the military I should have no opinion on how it is used? This reasoning is a stretch at best, considering that military is controlled by civilians for a reason in this country.

Unless you have cancer you shouldn't be an oncologist. Unless you are a cop you shouldn't have an opinion on law enforcement.

Makes sense, right?
