Send John Rambo and Josie Wales into the bush with nothing. They're told to find the other and kill him.

Without weapons I've got to go with Rambo. Josey Wales is all about figuring out how to get the best edge with his pistols.

Rambo had a conscience which he suppressed in order to accomplish his mission. Wales was an intelligent homocidal psychopath who supressed his mania. I'm betting on the smart psycho.

Having seen both men in person, I am betting on the 6'5" cowboy over the
5'6" vagrant. And like Bot alludes: Rambo may end up offering his hand in friendship and Wales would lean in to shake it and bite him in the jugular

I don't know, Josey Wales has iron in his words, as Ten Bears says. He wouldn't break his word.

I think of Wales as a man of his era, all that out of the box booby trapery that Rambo would pull would be confusing to Wales and just might catch him off guard.

Now 'dirty' Harry would wipe the floor with Rambo but might have trouble with Wales.

Josy would have no problem with the technology he saw the Snake Oil salesman as a fraud immediately and knew that patience pays off when fighting the enemy therefore Booby traps would be useless because Josey lets the enemy come to him.

Well you shot my argument down pretty well there. The only thing I have left is he diddn't always have the stiffist competition...

if this is taking place in the great north west, i got to believe that rambo has one of those flashbacks again and tears into josey (hes is his natural territory)...real, real bad

. seriously, though i do give joesy putting up one bad fight but rambo has the advantage...who knows, maybe rambo could be delt some debilitating blow to suffer from, say, when he meets up with a 'john wayne' but this may give 'wayne' a tainted victory, NOT GOOD

just my opinion

I think we should turn this thread into a petition, and have Josey go kick Rambo's ass. I know Rambo lives in Miami, but if he came to LA for something I am sure Arnold would sanction it like he did the UFC.
