Most Famous Person from LA

We were talking about the most famous/well-known people from various southern states and names like Truman Capote, John Grisham, Willa Cather, Bill Clinton, etc came up. When we started talking about Louisiana, the names Al Sharpton, John Duke, Elizabeth Ashley* and the Mayor of New Orleans came up. In your opinion, who is the most well-known person from Louisiana? I would have to say the Mayor of New Orleans is the most well-known person out of the Bayou State.

Laissez les bon temps rouler, you gone be ok.

*someone just told me that Elizabeth is not a native of LA but from FL originally, but I've read in numerous places that she is an LA native.

I meant David Duke. I forgot about Armstrong , but I you're right, he's probably the most famous.

I didn't know Fats Domino was from LA, that's interesting. Someone told me Blueberry Hill(of song fame) is actually in Mississippi, is that true? Is Blueberry Hill a real place?
