CNN is reporting the location as East 72nd Street and York Ave. It was a fixed wing aircraft....NOT a helicopter.

Yeah the boys in the red trucks I can see them out of my window racing to the scene!
Its probably nothing serious on the scale of 9/11 but its giving me some serious goose bumps

Yeah, it's hard to look at a plane flying overhead the same way we used to before 9/11, huh?

When they crash into buildings, THAT's really chilling!

It was Corey Lidle's plane, according to ESPN, and he died in the crash.

Perhaps this thread should merge with the 'baseball playoffs' thread.

Fact continues to be stranger than fiction.

I hope they determine it wasn't intentional, but the way the plane is described to have veered makes me wonder. But they may never know.

They say it's hazy in NY; the guy probably should have been IFR instead of VFR, assuming this was an accident. In that way it's reminiscent of the JFK Jr. crash.

That's my expert, armchair, non-pilot analysis, anyway.
