I know nobody will believe me in here but I scored a 1300+ on my SAT. The funny thing was that my high school was going to keep me back because my GPA was like a 2.0 or something. I never ever did anything in high school except party and drive nice cars. Once I got into college I really straightened out....I guess we all grow up.

Oh and by the way...I didn't bring a calculator to my SAT test because I forgot so I did all the calculations by hand manually. Talk about not fair when everybody else had theirs. But like I said, I never cared in high school so who would have thought to bring a calculator for SATS. I'm really really really good in Math though. I remember when I came to the USA in 4th grade I scored the highest in my school on our STATE MATH test and I didn't speak a word of English. Most of the crap you guys do in 4th grade is the same thing they teach you in preschool in other countries.

Anyway, good luck on the SATs. They are fairly simple.

SAT? Bah, I never bothered to take it.

I'm a mechanic, who needs to know how smart I am? I've never been unemployed for more than a week since I was 16. It's not very difficult to find a good paying job in this field if you have the brawn and brains to get the job done.

The SAT is a joke, don't get stressed. You can take it again, really nobody cares about or remembers there score when they get out of HS.

I think I stayed up real late the night before watching a movie or something. I only took it once, I don't really remember my score, it was in the 1200 range. What I do remember quite well is scoring near perfect on the English part. The math part killed me.

This surprised me because I can't spell and hated english class, go figure.

GPA is usually more important. Different schools weight things differently. My GPA wasn't all that hot, but I still got into a theatre tech program here at Ithaca College where only 1 in 20 are accepted, since they look at talent and potential more than your previous record. I even got a sizable scholarship for my talents in theatre technology.

I can't remember what I got on the new SAT, but I did get a 30 on the ACT, which isn't bad at all.

this is what one of my professors told me about GPA and SATs....

GPA depends on how much work you put in...if you do your homework, show up to your classes and act like you care it will be high. You can be smart and have a low GPA because you refuse to do work.

SATs actually show how much you know. I scored higher on my SATs than most of the geeks I used to make fun of in band, AP classes and honor. Why is that?

I'm sure you did fine though.

You're not suppose to study for these things...go in as if you don't give a **** and you'll do better.

Sometimes I contemplate the military as well. I still get phone calls from various people but now it's mostly about being some higher position as opposed to a field soldier. Not sure what that means or what it entitles but next time the NAVY calls I'm going to ask questions.

Speak of NAVY. Rutgers spanked them 34-0 today. We are 6-0 as we speak. :fork_off:

I took an SAT prep class back in HS, insted of a study hall. I feel that it helped and was worth the time.

Maybe if your school offers one give it a try.

Don't stress about it, in the overall scheme of things its not important.
