Why do they allways want to be friends afterwords (rant)

God dammit.

Since the summer, I've been going to burger king every other weekend for lunch (yeah, i know)... It's right across from work, and it's cheap (2 burgers, small drink, 3.17)

I met the cashier, got to know her and whatnot, finally got the balls to ask her out a month or so ago. I've been NICE. Went to a movie, had dinner... bla bla bla. I got to know her parents (who love me), and she got to know my mom (who thinks higly of Kiersten). We were having a nice conversation, she was accually in texas this last weekend, visiting her brother. All of a sudden, I get a "i need to say something"

GDMMIT, I know what that means, I REALLY do...

She's going into the Navy, and is going to be taking tests and stuff. She says she doesnt have the time to go out with me, or anybody else. She's like to be my friend still, but not so close anymore.

WTF????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/

Am I retarded, or did I just get dumped because shes too busy?

What the hell did I do wrong?

This happened at about 9:30, I just got home a few min ago (1:45). I've been crusing around town with no particular destination, wound up spending some time with a friend who I saw pulled over by the 5-0 for illegal exhaust...

So, I'm sitting here, killing a bottle of Captain morgain, wondering what the **** did I do wrong...?

mabey I should grow up, or something, and realize I'm still young? And that relationships at this poing dont mean anything anyways???

why ****ing me?

Well if she's busy, she's busy! Honestly, don't take it to heart. Women do some stupid stuff, but this time it sounds genuine - joining the Navy isn't an easy task, she'll have to leave everything and everyone she knows behind, so splitting up with you now will make it a lot easier for her later on.

Nate 11-16-2006 03:07 AM

yeah, but that wont be untill at least she's done with school

I know it's noble, but it still sucks for me

I did say good luck in the Navy though, before we ended the convention

I've been happy with only doing stuff on the weekends, which owuldnt have too change untill she's in the Navy though

I need another jacket, it's getting cold... or mabey that's my mood, just freeking cold.

Nice guys finish LAST, why couldnt I be a Jock?

Probably every guy here got it at one time or another - or many times.

Just move on.

Nate 11-16-2006 03:12 AM

yeah... I dont get it though, WHY????????? is it so she doesnt feel guilty for leaving me? Mabey somehow to think she's comferting me???

Just checked the t-stat, it's like 68 in the house..... Guess Im going cold blooded

It wasnt a lecture either, it was like a few sentances... I got jipped

Dear Nate,

She is not the only fish in the sea.

Sincerely yours,

Because they don't have the balls (obviously a figure of speech) to say, "Ok, I guess we're done here." Sad, but usually true.

You are out of your mind. Stay single. Bang anything that walks. Settle down later in life.

Kuan 11-16-2006 07:07 AM

Nate, don't drink like that man. It doesn't do you any good.

Ditto, 16 is way to young to be pounding Captain Morgan. There is wisdom behind the drinking age. Too many kids end up in trouble with addiction or the law or both. Maybe a beer a couple of times a month, but it is still illegal if you get caught.

Who wants a girl going in the Navy? Not you. There are many others out there.

I hear Navy girls are all bisexual and love threesomes with their boyfriends.

Sometimes people need to look out for themselves. She was a cashier at Burger King and obviously didn't want to stay such. She is being proactive and beginning a new career. Good for her. Obviously the only way to keep her interest maybe is to join the Navy yourself!
