6.2/6.5L turbo diesel questions
Ok, I am toying wiht the idea of putting a diesel in an old corvette...? is that REALLY dumb? I have read that the 6.2's are about as heavy as a BB Chevy, so it ought to fit.. If a candidate could be found with a 700R overdrive transmission, the car ought to run ok and get decent fuel ecomomy..
So my questions are: is the 6.5 about the same size as the 6.2? and when did the turbocharged version show up, and does any one have any pratical experience working with or driving these power plants? Do you think that the end result would be a happy combonation or not?
