Well, My 400e is in the shop for some diagnosis, and a safety recall. (14 year old safety recall that is) and I got a loaner C280 to drive. The car is a dream, alot of bells and whistles, but I don't have anowners manual, so I went to MBUSA.com.

That's where it hit me. I was checking out the e-class Mercedes and notice the E63 which is an AMG built 6.3 liter 507 HP 0-60 in 4.3 station wagon.

Talk about a sleeper. Geez. I want one, but i don't have the 90K, or should I say, the wife would divorce me if I sold the house and bought a station wagon.

Torque is King

The paddle shifters on the new E are a lot of fun! That 6.2L V8 really opens up after 80mph.

Torque rules on the street. The 6.3 is a step backwards, IMHO.

There are two E55 wagons in Dallas, I'm waiting for one of them to be traded in...

I was gung ho for the AMG wagon before it came out but the $90K sticker makes my stomach turn I won't be able to drive during the winter so the money would be better spent on a Ferrari 456 or something like that. I would bet that cost of ownership would be about the same.

There are a couple E55 wagons around here, the sleeper factor is what gets me. I love sleepers.

With the wagon the kids sitting in the 3rd row seat can wave to the 911 you just schooled.

I know a 70 year old female Pakistani doctor that bought an E63 sedan two weeks ago (for you dorks, I mean, 'took delivery of'). She has a funny personalized plate too that combines her heritage with her profession. She is a trip. I am going to ask her for a test drive soon.

Nope I can't handle $90K for a wagon, not even a custom Ferrari 456 Estate wagon custom built for the Sultan of Brunai.

Dude but you could possibly get snows for the AMG. You definitely cannot get snows for the Ferrari.
