I was yanking your chain (although the anecdote happened). BTW, my first sailboat was named Sybarite. I bought it my first year out of college, and it lived up to its name:pirate:

Yes, that would be fine in a confined space, or an area where the dog would frequent.

But, the closest I can get is 50' from the dog...........and such a unit probably won't do the job.

I did try one of them to keep a cat off the kitchen counters..........failed miserably.........I'll bet the unit was a scam.........the cat never even knew it existed.

I used them to attempt to ward off raccons once and they didn't seem to notice the noise either. I figured I would give it one humane try before the havahart trap and the .22.

Well, how does sympathetic hubby suggest you do it?The recorded barking is O.K. but perhaps it's time to dust off those Nancy Sinatra and Robert Goulet holiday records,or maybe she likes rammstein or some other gay disco industrial noise, just a thought.

I considered that.

But, after thinking about it carefully, she could object to excessive loud music..........but she really can't object to the sound of a barking dog..........since she has no problem with her own..........now can she???

I bought a one hour CD with the exact same sound that her POS yapper makes.

I'm wondering if this is even possible. Could you get scent markers for animals that would scare the hell out of her dog? The same way that deer hunters can get deer urine to mask there own scent, if you could get something like that for a bear or a cougar or some type of predatory animal, you could mark your backyard as close as possible to their property. Maybe even toss some into their backyard when they aren't looking. It would make their dog want to spend less time out back. Like I said, I have no idea if this is even possible, but just about everything else is for sale on the internet, why not bear piss?
