I got banned for doing that... so did bone... but yea. Its done and over with.

ForcedInduction 12-29-2006 11:26 PM

I was asked not to advertise for the Schuman forums. That was before the MBShop censorship on their links was lifted.

You did not get banned for doing that.

Neither did Bone.

Just to set the record straight.

We've had internal discussions on this topic on several occasions.

At the present time it's basically the moderator's discretion. The webmaster (site owner) has been more than tolerant regarding this behavior.

As the moderator of DD, it bothers me to see links to a competing forum or website. Just like it's not appropriate to go into McDonalds with a Burger King sign over your head, advertising here in an attempt to gain members or sales at the expense of M-Shop is a bit unseemly........IMHO, of course.

While I don't agree, nor would want it done to me if it were my site, if the owners do not mind or make him stop, it must not be that bothersome to them right?

Ron has been around here a long time. You would think it would have raised some eyebrows by now.

I had a neihbor who walked his dog everyday; during that walk his dog crapped on a lawn other than his own and we choose to not say anything because it is easier to consider him a low class a-hole and pick up the poop.

A rather smelly comparison.

It appears to be a straight forward issue in how someone decides to conduct his/her business in association with others.

It has in fact nothing to do with "class" or the lack of the same.

For some, in their confusion of double standards, an adjustment maybe recommended, in how one articulates him/her-self before bringing a subjective denote of "class" into the arena.

The fellow next door is the local dentist, and I think I have spoken to him around ten times in the eleven years since I bought the house. I even let him use my yard as a staging area once for a project he doing, and the thanks I got was that they cut down a couple of my Azelea's and damaged the fence.

I never complained about his two dogs, that have ruined my clothes by jumping on me when they sometimes come over to poop in my yard because they don't allow the dogs in the manicured grass they have, they only allow the dogs in the driveway or in the garage. They let them roam free and poop all over the hood. I never complained when his little monster brats threw orange halves at my head and on the hood of my Jeep from the treehouse next to my garage.

I agree with Med, the moment I ***** about something, he is going to make sure that his dogs poop in my yard or worse. I have to live next to this guy, why piss him off? The best thing to do is kill them with kindness, unless they do something really bad.

The true sign of class, breeding, call it what you will is to maintain a decorous silence regarding matters that do not affect you directly since many people seem to require negative attention.

While I respect your decision and admire your patience, I'm unable to follow your lead. If the neighbors are disrespectful POS, they deserve what they get.

I'm currently in process of wiring up an outdoor speaker to blast the sound of a barking dog to the POS neighbor who doesn't give a $hit that their neighbor does not really enjoy the sound of their little yapper........even though I've repeatedly complained to them, respectfully, about it.

No, it serves to take a small portion of your calm and peaceful existence when people violate your personal space or your personal rights. If you allow it.......when do you decide that you've had enough?
